Your data
Billing and usage
You pay for volume and seats. This page explains how volume is counted and what happens when you reach your limit.
What counts as an event
- Every page view, click, scroll step, form submission and custom event the collector accepts counts as one event.
- Bots, browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, excluded IP addresses and refused requests are never counted.
- Usage is pooled across every project in your organization. Each monthly period starts at 00:00 UTC on the day of the month you first paid or, on the free plan, the day you signed up. In a month without that day, such as the 31st, it starts on the month’s last day. A yearly plan still has a monthly allowance, and changing plan starts a new period.
Limits by plan
| Plan | Events a month | History | Heatmap pages | Funnels | Recordings a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 10,000 | 2 months | 3 | 1 | Not included |
| Starter | 100,000 | 6 months | 25 | Unlimited | Not included |
| Growth | 1,000,000 | 12 months | Unlimited | Unlimited | 5,000 |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | 2 years | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
At and over your limit
- At 80% of your monthly events you get an email.
- At 100% you get another, and collection carries on into a grace allowance. That email says exactly where collection will stop.
- At the end of the grace allowance collection stops until your next monthly period starts or you move to a larger plan. Nothing is sampled before that, and data already collected is kept.
Session recordings
Plans that include session replay also have a monthly recordings cap, shown in the table above, counted over the same monthly period as events. Once it is reached, new recordings stop until the next period starts. Events are still collected, and recordings already stored are kept.
Payments, invoices and tax
Paid plans are billed through Paddle, which sells on our behalf as merchant of record. Paddle works out any sales tax or VAT for your country, shows the exact amount before you confirm, and sends your invoices.
Update your payment method and download invoices from Plan and usage. Plans with a yearly price can be paid monthly or yearly.
Partner codes
If a partner gave you a code, enter it when you choose a paid plan. Paddle applies the discount and shows the amount before you confirm. Partner programme explains how codes work.
Changing or cancelling
Change plan from Plan and usage. Paddle shows the amount before you confirm anything.
If a renewal payment fails, your paid plan stays active for a grace period while Paddle retries.
If you cancel, your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Your organization then moves to the free plan and its limits apply. The refund policy covers refunds.
